DJ Hero Turntable

I've been wary of posting this. It's the FIRST ever pattern I've made, but I'm not truly happy with the results. Although, for a first go it's still nothing to scoff at. Once again, this is another present made for the lovely Shelby. I wrapped this in a DJ hero game box to watch her freak out as she unwrapped it. This was later followed by a loving, but slightly disappointed smile when she opened the box. :P Later she unwrapped the actual and it was awesome to see the two side by side. This project may deserve another attempt someday, but a day in the long future.

Crocheted Hammer & Screwdriver

I made this for my dad's birthday last November and forgot to post it. The pattern is from one of my favorite books. If you follow the blog closely enough you should be able to guess which book that is. Amigurumi Two!? You're correct!!! I love the patterns Ana produces. Turing hard hitting tools into plush couldn't be more fun. Also, I was able to supplement this project with the poetic side of me to.

Christmas Creations- Aunt

One of my aunts asked me to make some baby hats for her. I assumed it was for one of my cousins. So, I set out on a pattern from Michaels Book of Needlecrafts. I bought this book when I was starting knitting to have a multitude of knit and crochet crafts, but now I've realized that I don't like enough of the patterns. This is a book I recommend as a library rental first. Anyway, since my aunt lives on a farm, I wanted to make the blueberry hat. When I did the specified number of increases it looked too small, so I did an extra row of increase. When I finished, the hat ended up being big enough to fit my head. She didn't deserve to be left with just an over sized, albeit cute, hat. I made another hat using a pattern I found on ravelry. This one was knit so it could stretch, but was only big enough to fit an infant. She was thankful for both. Luckily she wanted to use the hats to take pictures of other babies (she's a photographer). I still want to try again someday, but was happy to at least provide a finished product.

Christmas Creations- Cousin (Once Removed)

A couple of months ago my cousin, her husband, and her daughter came over. was excited to show them all my crafts and books. When my cousin (once removed- there was a debate with a friend of mine when I just said cousin!) saw the little bunny from my often used Amigurumi World book she was desperate to have it. The smile from her was priceless.

Christmas Creations- Aunt

My aunt has been bugging me for a while to make her something (bless her heart). She loves chickens & roosters, so the pattern from lionbrand was simple and cute enough for me to enjoy making it. :D

Mother's Day Koala

Happy belated Mother's Day. Included with the yellow roses and new coffee maker mom also received this adorable crocheted koala. No gifting holiday is complete without something handmade. This is also another pattern from Amigurumi Two by Ana Paula Rimoli.

Baby Blanket

Since Shelby's aunt was having a baby, I decided to create a baby blanket. I used the pattern on the back of LionBrand's Pound of Love yarn.

Shelby's Scarf

I started working on this way before Christmas, but didn't take the time to follow the pattern closely enough causing me to unravel and rework the whole thing twice. Eventually I got it to the finished stage and I'm pretty sure she loves it. Just not as much as I love her. :* This amazing link is here.

Shelby's Pachirisu

During December there was an event on facebook called Pokemon Profile Pic of the month. I just kept wanting to make more for Shelby. So, I typed "crochet pokemon" and the first thing to come up was a pattern for her pokemon profile pic. I Had to Make it. Here's the link and the site is filled with tons of crochet pokemon patterns. :)

Crochet Chainsaw

The biggest gift challenge is figuring out what to make for dad. Well, I've found the perfect thing. What's cooler than a Crochet CHAINSAW?! The only answer is the guy who's holding it, my dad. Check this link out for this amazing, fun pattern.

Crocheted Sack Lunch

I Love doing some cute and special for Shelby and I's monthly anniversary. So, with the new food I crochet I decided to create a sack lunch. Included with a special note with 'cheezy' puns it was enough to make her happy.

Crochet Cookie

I've been waiting for a long time to be able to check out this book since I put it on reserve at the library. This amazing book is called Tasty Crochet. The first 'food' I created was the simple cookie. It doesn't taste as good as it looks, but it was still fun to make. While I did enjoy this book it leaves more to be desired. As soon as you make one peice of food you'll ask yourself, "I wonder if they have this?" and multiple times she didn't. Don't let that discourage you though! This isstill a great book for what it does have to offer!
