Christmas in July

Let the posting continue! These scarfs were actually made back in the winter months, but this post goes perfect with Christmas in July. The green scarf is the first knitting project I ever started and the purple one in the first I ever finished. (Took a break from the small stitching of the green one to make the purple) :P I think the green needs some fringe, but overall I'm happy to see them completed. I'll be excited to wear these again next winter.

Balloon Columns

When Shelby and her siblings went on a mission trip I wanted to do something special for when they got back. What's better to come home to than balloons? (Besides a warm hug from your significant other.) These are the first columns I've done and where a surprise I was happy to give.

Microphone Cupcakes

For my boss's birthday I wanted to give it a pop dance party feel. What could be better to match that than Microphone Cupcakes? Just try to resist singing into one after you make you. You can't!

Duck Cupcakes

For a going away party for a great coworker I created a rubber duckie theme based on Ernie from Sesame Street. The theme included these wondrous duck cupcakes created from the book What's New, Cupcake? It's amazing how a cupcake, marshmallows, donut holes, and various candies are used to make something completely different and VERY cool.

Mother's Day Koala

Happy belated Mother's Day. Included with the yellow roses and new coffee maker mom also received this adorable crocheted koala. No gifting holiday is complete without something handmade. This is also another pattern from Amigurumi Two by Ana Paula Rimoli.

Baby Blanket

Since Shelby's aunt was having a baby, I decided to create a baby blanket. I used the pattern on the back of LionBrand's Pound of Love yarn.

6 Months Later...

So, everyone is probably wondering what happened to the blog. All I can give you is the same excuses of school, work, girlfriend, and so forth. I even starred in a community play and had the unfortunate task of taking a summer class. While all this slowed the blog it didn't stop my crafting. Updates are soon to follow, including posts on Mother's day, scarfs, cupcakes, and more!

Shelby's Scarf

I started working on this way before Christmas, but didn't take the time to follow the pattern closely enough causing me to unravel and rework the whole thing twice. Eventually I got it to the finished stage and I'm pretty sure she loves it. Just not as much as I love her. :* This amazing link is here.

Shelby's Pachirisu

During December there was an event on facebook called Pokemon Profile Pic of the month. I just kept wanting to make more for Shelby. So, I typed "crochet pokemon" and the first thing to come up was a pattern for her pokemon profile pic. I Had to Make it. Here's the link and the site is filled with tons of crochet pokemon patterns. :)

Teddy Bear

Only my second sewing project ever! It didn't come out to great, but mom loved it as her Christmas present. Also, after digging through my pile of old crochet projects I ended up finding some great accessories for him to.

Crochet Chainsaw

The biggest gift challenge is figuring out what to make for dad. Well, I've found the perfect thing. What's cooler than a Crochet CHAINSAW?! The only answer is the guy who's holding it, my dad. Check this link out for this amazing, fun pattern.

Filet Crochet Coasters

I've been wanting to learn something a little new with crochet and the idea of putting designs into intruged me. So, I learned how to do Filet Crochet. It turned out to be a lot easier than I thought. I ended up making these coasters, to go under candles, for my aunt and neighbor.

Holiday Project Posts Coming SOON!

WOW! It's been a LONG time since my last post, but don't think I haven't been creating. I've been working double time during the holiday season to crank out all those presents. To bad I coudn't post them until After I gave them away. I still need to take pictures of some of the projects, because it was Christmas Eve when I finished everything and was too busy wrapping to take pictures. I will post all the projects as soon as I can. There won't be a shortage of projects this year either (I have FIVE in the works already). So, Stay Tuned for more ACC!
