Ami Ninjas
Here's my pattern in all it's glory! Inspired by an Amazon preview of the book Creepy Cute Crochet, a book I really want to get, I decided to give the idea of a ninja a go with the new pattern. I couldn't be happier. This made a great suprize for a few friends of mine, but now it's time to get to work on some Pirates to make the rest of them happy. Stay tuned!
Experimenting
As you can see I was hard at work. For a week I worked on trying to make my own customizable pattern after the inspiration I received when viewing the blog at Geek Central Station. Especially the Star Wars figures! It was kinda' fun to experiment with no complete idea of what I was going for. My first time trying felt clothes, and even some playing trying to latch hook hair. After plenty of frustration I had finally settled. I have created my first good looking pattern! Just wait until the next post, AND if you like it make sure to let me know. I'm thinking about making a PDF guide for it. :)

Bobba Fett Ami
First off, making your own patterns is TOUGH! That's what I tried to do. With a lot of inspiration taken from the Mighty Mugg characters I wanted to make one of my own. He didn't turn out like I wanted and I'm thinking of making him a lost cause. For now I'll just enjoy what I have and hopefully return to him later. Maybe after watching Star Wars again? :P

Ski Masks
I know it's not cold outside and there's fact that it is still summer, but after a friend showed some interest in wanting to learn to crochet, he said a crochet ski mask would be awesome to make. Well, to show him that it could be done I whipped these up from a pattern found here. This is a great project, especially since it's hard to find patterns to suit a guys taste. Might as well go ahead and make a couple yourself, because winter always finds a way to seek up on you.

Aluminum Can FAILURE
That's right, it even happens to the best of us. Fortunately it's never a true fail unless you don't learn anything. I've been inspired by aluminum can art and sculptures. It's something Grandpa and I always thought were cool. So, after some major research I finally found a couple sites with great instruction, and one free pattern that I could use. That pattern was fairly easy, and the shark was fun to make, but you HAVE to use the glue that they tell you. First I tried to put him together with Elmer's Ultimate Glue. Before reading the package I tried to put together my shark. Turns out the glue requires moisture and a long drying time that sharky just fell apart and would not allow other glues to adhere. I cut out the pattern and cans again and this time tried my glue lover, hot glue. This seemed to work, until the next day. He fell apart again. Now each day we just tape him up with a new piece falling off each time. So, FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS! I've learned my lesson, but had a good experience. I'm going to take a long break from can art, but continue to stay excited for my next venture into the craft.

Goomba Shirt
Not to brag, but how awesome is this. I'm proud to present my first time cross stitching on a shirt, and what's cooler than a goomba? I didn't learn about waste fabric until after I finished the project which explains the uneven stitch size. I've since been enlightened. Waste fabric helps stitch on non-evenweave fabric, which allows you to easily make even stitches. Once you finish you just pull out the thread to reveal the finished project. I'll deffinately try this next time, but for now I'll just enjoyed the project I made without that extra help.

It's Been Too Long
How far has it been since my last post? The answer is TOO LONG! I'm sorry. Don't think I haven't been busy though. College makes things harder than it has to be. Finacial Aid in a pain in the butt. The car broke down and life gets in the way, but I've still kept on crafting. So, without futher ado, let's do some posting!
